APOSTLE RAL WALTOWER
Apostle Ralgerald “Ral” Waltower is a man of conviction devoted to bringing unity to the Body of Christ. While his pedigree in the faith is important, it is not as important as his character. So while his list of accomplishments as a pastor is many, it’s more important to know his heart.
Ral Waltower is committed to walking in the Great Commandment found in Matthew 22:37-38 “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ He is equally as ardent about fulfilling the Great Commission, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Matt 28:19-20). He calls that “First Love, First Works.”
When he first formed True Gospel Christian Church in 2012, he was determined not to have “church as usual,” so instead of having a plethora of ministries, he wanted to take the church into the marketplace, outside of the four walls on Sunday. That is when “Sprint Teams” were born, small teams energized and commissioned to take the gospel to people. As a result, they have adopted a pregnancy center to bring support to women who had chosen not to have an abortion, prayed with law enforcement, and supported youth in the community (to name just a few). The ultimate purpose is to “love thy neighbor” by putting love to work.
In keeping with taking church outside the four walls, the message of First Love, First Works has crossed the Atlantic to Malawi, Africa. True Gospel Christian Church Malawi is seeing a great move of God under his spiritual son, Pastor Chibuwu.
Not only is Apostle Waltower a gifted teacher with great revelation in the Word, but he is also a loving husband and father to four beautiful daughters. The example he sets as a husband and father is inspiring to many. The love and devotion they have toward each other is a testament to his leadership, not just in church but in the home.
Apostle Waltower’s warmth, patience, compassion, and integrity have endeared him to many. Yet, while he is transparent, dedicated, and considerate, he does not compromise the Word. He calls sin, sin, but he doesn’t leave you there, nor does he just point you in a different direction; he walks with you to the place of restoration. That is truly love in action.
He has created such an atmosphere of First Love and First Works that the entire leadership team has that same DNA. Jesus Christ is definitely the center of TGCC because He is the center of Ralgerald Waltower! What more can you ask of a Pastor?

LADY, SHIRLEY WALTOWER
Affectionately called “Lady Shirley,” Shirley Waltower is a woman of great wisdom and compassion with an infectious smile. Her compassion was evident in the career path she chose, e.g., nursing. As an R.N. in the neonatal and pediatric nursing unit, her compassion flowed through her as she cared for the most vulnerable for 12 years. After leaving nursing to be a full-time wife and mother, she successfully home-schooled all four of the Waltower daughters, two of whom graduated from college with honors.
Those who know her would agree she is the personification of the Proverbs 31 woman.
Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil All the days of her life…
Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land…
Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: “Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.”
That is a perfect description of Lady Shirley Waltower. However, don’t let the quiet and meek demeanor fool you. Inside that calm, quiet exterior is the spirit of a lioness. She knows how to war in the spirit for the things of God and for her family. Shirley is the strength and backbone of her husband, the glue that holds her family to the ways of God, and an inspiration to the women of True Gospel Christian Church.
Let the mature women admonish the young women to love their husbands and to love their children
